Evergreen Presbyterian Church offers children’s classes that stress the importance of building a foundation of Christian Education that will stay with a child as he/she grows into his/her own personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
There are classes available for children from age 3 through the 5th grade and for youth from rising sixth through twelfth grade. Focus is on Bible Study as well as guiding and encouraging our youth to use their gifts for service to the church community and the world.
These classes are located in the Christian Education Building west of the Sanctuary and may be accessed by using the breezeway in the north hallway outside of the Sanctuary or from outside near the west parking lot.
Basic Bible Class
This class goes through the Bible one book at a time, reading, studying and discussing each book in turn. The class rotates teachers and discussion leaders. Class interest will dictate new studies. This class meets in the Session Room on the South hallway outside of the Sanctuary.
Men's Bible Class (Open to Everyone)
The class is taught by a rotation of teachers and discussion leaders. Currently, members are studying the book of Acts.
This class meets in room 202 in the Christian Education wing.
The Seeker Class
This is a disscussion class in which participants read through the scripture lessons of the Revised Common Lectionary and discuss how the lectionnary pasages complement each other, and how each reading might be relevant in our lives today. Rev. Walt Tennyson is currently leading this class. This class meets in the church Parlor on the South hallway outside of the Sanctuary.
Earnest Workers Class
Currently studying Jesus’ Life, Teaching and Ministry from
“The Present Word” curriculum. The class is a discussion class that rotates teachers and study units on a regular basis.
This class meets in room 206 in the Christian Education wing.
Adult Sunday School Classes
Inquirers Class
For anyone who is interested in joining the church, or if you are just interested in learning more about Evergreen Presbyterian Church. We exliore the church building, and its history, as well as hitting the high points of Presbyterian theology and government. This class will meet for 3 Sundays, April 11, 18, & 25. Led by Rev. Davis Bailey.

Traveler's Faith Study Class
Currently studying a book entitled “Jesus, The Bible, and Homosexuality” by Jack Rogers. The class is taught in discussion style, currently led by Rev. Walt Tennyson. The topics are selected by a show of class interest and are usually focused on each individual’s faith journey. The class meets in Room 205B of the Christian Education Building.
