T'ai Chi and Qigong
T'ai Chi (pronounced "tie chee"), a form of qigong, is known for its many health benefits. The slow, graceful choreographed movements pay dividends in increased strength and muscle tone, enhanced range of motion, flexibility, and coordination. T'ai Chi is also helpful for improving balance and preventing osteoporosis.
Qigong (pronounced "chee-gong") is a sequence of slow, gentle fitness exercises that focus on breathing and stretching. Qigong improves blood circulation, increase absorption and utilization of oxygen and fosters a calm, relaxed mental and emotional state. With each session, the body becomes more limber, muscles get stronger and general aches and pains are less apparent. Everyone regardless of age, gender, body type or physical condition can participate and enjoy qigong.

Body and Soul
Evergreen's Body & Soul class is an ancient art based on a harmonizing system of development for the body, mind, and spirit. The continued practice of Body & Soul will lead you to a sense of peace and well-being. The practice of Body & Soul makes the body strong and flexible; it also improves the functioning of the respiratory, circulatory, digestive, and hormonal systems. Body & Soul brings about emotional stability and clarity of mind.
Gentle Stretching Exercises - Monday 9:30 - 10:30am
$1 per person per visit.
