Parenting Workshop - Race Talk 101: How to Talk to Children About Racism

Rev. Rebekah Gienapp will lead this workshop on talking with children about race and racism in age-appropriate ways. You will leave with a better understanding of how to better engage kids, of all ages, in these conversations. This event is free and open to the public. Childcare is available.

Rev. Rebekah Gienapp is a mom of two, a writer focused on parenting for social justice, a former community organizer, an ordained deacon in the United Methodist Church, and a native Memphian. She blogs about diverse children’s literature and activism for young people at The Barefoot Mommy. Rebekah has previously served as Director of Children and Family Ministries at St. John’s United Methodist Church and executive director of Workers Interfaith Network.
